Google Plus Business Pages Lack Multiple Admin Feature

Google Plus, to some it is a graveyard to others it is the next “big thing”.  Regardless of what you think the platform has been making quite a bit of noise over the last few months.  Yet this post is not meant to give a high level review of what Google+ is (those can be found with a simple Google search), this post is meant to voice my disappointment with Google’s Business Pages.

Google officially released its business pages Monday Nov.7 2011 and I could not be more excited to dive into the platform and see what they had to offer.  Yet what do I find when I go to setup the company profile; that in its current release it is impossible to add multiple page admins to a page.  Now if you are the sole editor to your businesses social accounts this does not affect you, but for those that share page ownership with others in the organization this is not acceptable.

After searching around for a bit, I was able to stumble across this that shows the Google+ team is aware of this and working on it probably as we speak.  But still this is a feature that is very common and do not understand how it could have been left out.

As I dig into the platform more I am sure I will find features that I fall in love with and I am not writing off the platform just yet, but I had to vent about one of the most basic features a business profile should have.  I guess that’s what beta releases are for though right?

Let me know your thoughts about this.  Is this an issue for you as well?

  2. Thanks for the comment. This is indeed extremely frustrating, mainly because I spent more time than I should have looking for a resolution only to find that the functionality currently does not exist.
